Investment Logic Mapping Facilitator Training

ILM Facilitator Training equips you with the skills to confidently run Investment Logic Mapping (ILM) workshops—a structured approach used to clarify problems, define benefits, and explore investment logic before jumping to solutions.

Whether you're contributing to business case development, shaping strategy, or aligning stakeholders around a shared challenge, this training gives you practical tools to lead ILM workshops with clarity and confidence.

We offer a tiered training approach to suit different needs:

ILM Core
Learn how to lead early conversations that clarify the problem an organisation is trying to solve, and what success would look like if it were addressed. This training gives you the foundational skills to run workshops that define the case for change and set the stage for good investment decisions.

ILM Advanced (optional)
Take your facilitation skills further by learning how to guide stakeholders through exploring possible solutions, weighing up different options, and agreeing on the best way forward. This session focuses on helping groups make confident, evidence-based decisions about what to invest in and how to implement it.

Management / Executive Briefing (optional)
A concise, plain-English overview for senior leaders who want to understand the purpose, value, and practical application of ILM—plus a chance to ask questions and explore how it could be used in your organisation.

How can it benefit you?

- Gain confidence running structured, high-impact ILM workshops

- Uncover the real problem—not just the symptoms—using proven analysis tools

- Define benefits clearly, along with how success will be measured

- Explore and evaluate response options to determine the most effective way forward

- Produce a clear, one-page logic map that supports smarter investment and planning decisions

- Align stakeholders early, reduce rework later, and support evidence-based decision-making

ILM is more than a process—it's a mindset. Our training is practical, interactive, and designed to give you skills you can use straight away.
